Con el prop\u00f3sito de establecer normas que rigieran la vida cotidiana de la sociedad israelita, Dios le entreg\u00f3 a parte de los diez mandamientos, las primeras leyes civiles:<\/p>

  1. Las normas para la esclavitud <\/b>hebrea era el c\u00f3digo m\u00e1s humanitario de los de su \u00e9poca. \u201cSiendo que ellos mismos hab\u00edan sido siervos poco antes, y ahora que iban a tener siervos, deb\u00edan guardarse de dar rienda suelta al esp\u00edritu de crueldad que los hab\u00eda hecho sufrir a ellos bajo sus amos egipcios\u201d.\u00a0 El recuerdo de su propia amarga servidumbre deb\u00eda capacitarlos para comprender la situaci\u00f3n del siervo para ser bondadosos y compasivos, y tratar a los otros como ellos quisieran ser tratados\u201d (PP., p. 372);<\/li>
  2. La segunda norma es la llamada \u201cley del tali\u00f3n<\/b>\u201d.\u00a0 Esta palabra proviene del lat\u00edn: \u201ctalionis\u201d que significa \u00abid\u00e9ntico\u00bb o \u00absemejante\u00bb de donde se deriva la palabra castellana \u201ctal\u201d: principio\u00a0 jur\u00eddico de\u00a0justicia retributiva\u00a0en el que la\u00a0norma impon\u00eda un\u00a0castigo igual al penitente seg\u00fan el delito que hab\u00eda cometido y se impon\u00eda un l\u00edmite al castigo y la venganza, por ejemplo, si a alguien le cortaban un dedo y este quer\u00eda vengarse del agresor, solo pod\u00eda amputar el mismo dedo al victimario. La expresi\u00f3n m\u00e1s conocida de la ley del tali\u00f3n es el pasaje b\u00edblico \u201cojo por ojo, diente por diente\u201d (Mat. 5:38) citada por Jes\u00fas y hace un llamado a pagar bien por mal.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
