Cuando lleg\u00f3 la noticia de la muerte de Abner, Isboset y todo el pueblo que lo segu\u00eda quedaron debilitados, ya que la fuerza militar hab\u00eda disminuido. Ban\u00e1 y Recab quienes comandaban las bandas armadas, eran de origen gabaonitas \u2014pero que viv\u00edan en territorio de la tribu de Benjam\u00edn\u2014, decidieron dar muerte a Isboset. Entraron al aposento donde dorm\u00eda y le quitaron la vida, luego le quitaron la cabeza para llev\u00e1rsela a David.<\/p>

Ban\u00e1 y Recab actuaron de esta manera por dos razones: Vengarse de Sa\u00fal, porque sin raz\u00f3n justificable decidi\u00f3 exterminar a los gabaonitas; y ganar reconocimiento de parte del nuevo rey, llevando la cabeza de su adversario. Cuando David recibi\u00f3 la noticia de la muerte de Isboset, reaccion\u00f3 de la misma manera que cuando recibi\u00f3 la noticia del asesinato de Sa\u00fal, mand\u00f3 matar a Ban\u00e1 y Recab por haber asesinado a una persona inocente en su misma cama.<\/p>

Esta narraci\u00f3n b\u00edblica nos ense\u00f1a que:<\/p>

1) no debemos alegrarnos por las desgracias o muerte de nuestros enemigos;<\/p>

2) No participar en el maltrato de personas, aunque sean contrarias a nuestra forma de pensar o dirigir;<\/p>

3) No vengarnos con nuestras propias manos, sino dejar que Dios sea el encargado de ejecutar el juicio y hacer justicia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cIs-boset fue asesinado alevosamente por dos de sus capitanes, quienes, cort\u00e1ndole la cabeza, se apresuraron a llev\u00e1rsela al rey de Jud\u00e1, esperando as\u00ed congraciarse con \u00e9l y ganar su favor.\u00a0Se presentaron a David con el testimonio sangriento de su crimen, diciendo: \u201cAqu\u00ed tienes la cabeza de Is-boset hijo de Sa\u00fal, tu enemigo, que procuraba matarte. Jehov\u00e1 ha vengado hoy a mi se\u00f1or, el rey, de Sa\u00fal y de su linaje\u201d.\u00a0Pero David cuyo trono hab\u00eda sido establecido por Dios mismo, y a quien Dios hab\u00eda librado de sus adversarios, no deseaba la ayuda de la traici\u00f3n para establecer su poder. Mencion\u00f3 a estos asesinos la suerte fatal que impuso al que se jactara de haber dado muerte a Sa\u00fal. \u201c\u00bfCu\u00e1nto m\u00e1s a los malos hombres que mataron a un hombre justo en su casa y sobre su cama?\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
